The Library offers a variety of accessible services, including curbside pickup and homebound delivery. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pickup may be scheduled by calling 435-723-5850. Curbside service is subject to staff availability.

Libby / Online Library

Homebound patrons with an active library card may request assistance getting started with digital library content. Internet access is required to access the online library.

Card Setup Visit

Homebound individuals without a library card may schedule a card setup or renewal visit. Staff will bring application paperwork and the new card. Applicants must provide photo ID.

Books on Wheels

Homebound patrons who live within incorporated Brigham City limits may request monthly delivery/pickup of library materials. Homebound cards are subject to lost or damaged materials fines, but do not accrue overdue fees.

Limitations

Patrons must live within incorporated Brigham City limits to receive homebound services.
Homebound deliveries are generally coordinated once per month.
Homebound services and deliveries are subject to staffing availability.
Homebound services are for library-related services only. We do not perform wellness checks, companion care, home health, etc.

Patrons using the Books on Wheels delivery service may not use their card at the physical library location (items must be delivered).
Homebound staff do not provide extensive reading recommendations. Patrons should request specific titles or authors.

How do I get a Libby account?

What's my Libby password?

The same as your library account password.

The Beehive Library Consortium (Libby/Overdrive) syncs with your physical library card, so your PIN/passwords are the same.

If you've forgotten your PIN, you can send a reset link to the email address you provided to the library:

1. Visit the catalog (link below)
2. Select "My Account" at the top of the page (3-lined menu if using a mobile device).
3. Select "Forgot my PIN"

A reset link will be sent to whatever email address is on file with the library. You can also visit the library with a photo ID to have the staff reset your PIN. Staff do not disclose or reset PINs by phone or email.

Why is Libby not working?

There are several reasons you may not be able to log into your Libby account:

1. Check your account expiration (library cards expire periodically)

2. Check your card number (verify zeros & don't include spaces; don't use autofill)

3. Check or reset your PIN

4. Renew items and pay off fines (fines over $5 and overdues block your online account)

5. Select 'Brigham City Library' (if you accidentally picked a different library, your login won't work)

6. Delete any old Brigham City Library cards from the app completely before adding the new one.

7. Close and reopen the app.

Can I request a title for Libby?

Yes!

To request something from your device:

1. Open Libby & search for the book.
2. Tap the three-lined menu near the top.
3. Scroll & select "deep search" to see titles the library hasn't purchased yet.
4. Tap "notify me" on the book you want.
5. Tap the bell tag.

Librarians can see how many "notify" requests have been placed on an item. If the library purchases your request, you will be alerted through Libby.

How do I get Libby on Kindle?

Send books from another device.

If the Libby app is not readily available on your Kindle device, check out the book using a different device (phone, computer, etc.) and use the "Read with Kindle" tool. This will prompt you to log into your Amazon account so that the book can be sent to your Kindle.

Library for the Blind and Disabled

Individuals with temporary or permanent low vision, blindness, or a physical disability may apply for free braille and "talking book" library services through the Utah State Library Program for the Blind and Disabled. Contact the Brigham City Public Library, or visit https://blindlibrary.utah.gov/
