Writing Group

The Writing Group is a place for writers of all ages and backgrounds to share ideas, learn techniques, and get feedback on their writing. Check the calendar for upcoming events. You do not need a library card to participate.

Critique Workshops

Join other writers to crique portions of each other's work. Advance registration is required. See events in the calendar for individual deadlines. Sessions will be canceled if fewer than 5 participants sign up.

Book Chats

A book club about writing! Book discussions focus on writing technique, structure, plot elements, etc. Past titles have included Steering the Craft by Ursula Le Guin and On Writing by Stephen King.

Book Chats are held 3 times annually.

Special Events

Author appearances, publisher presentations, open mic night... Oh my! Special writing events are held at various times throughout the year.

Say farewell to 2024 by coming to Open Mic Night and NaNoWriMo prize drawings! Read a selection of something you've written during the year, or listen to other writers.
